NZ Grappler had its record competitor turnout for the 2016 Gi Nationals. Over 480 competitors packed the ASB Stadium in Auckland, all vying for the top national positions in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It was also a record-breaking event for kids and female grapplers in NZ. Congratulations to Tu Kaha, Oliver MMA, Southern Tribes, Core MMA, and East Ocean for being the top 5 academies to place for adult divisions. Oliver MMA, Southern Tribes, Gracie Gym, Allegiance BJJ, and Hori Thai make the top 5 academies for kids divisions. Top 3 Nationals teams for adult divisions were ATTNZ, Tu Kaha, and Will Machado. Top 3 National teams for kids divisions were ATTNZ, Will Machado, and Gracie Gym.
